3. Since the establishment of the collaborative team for outlawing the counterfeit or Inferior drugs in 2010, the average annual seizure rate of Illegal drugs has dropped significantly from its initial 11.81% to 1.69% in 2021 as shown in Figure 7-3. In 2021, the competent authorities
found 5,813 violations for illegal advertising of food, drugs and cosmetics, with total fines amounting to NTD 220 million. The violation rate of food and drug advertisement fell from 13.93% in 2010 to 4.85% in 2021, as shown in Figure 7-4.
