3. COVID-19 prevention and management for the food service
To reduce the occurrence and scale of COVID-19 in restaurants, TFDA stipulated "Regulation of COVID-19 Prevention and Management for the Food Service", "Guidance of COVID-19 Prevention for the Food Service", and related Q&A. Also strengthened pandemic prevention knowledge, to protect the health of consumers and staff in the food industry.
4. Conduct Meat Safety Guidance Plan in 2021
Since January 1, 2021, products that contain pork and other edible parts of pig must have labels "the country (place) of origin" of raw materials, including packaged, bulk, and directly supplied food. To reinforce promotion, TFDA worked together with local government, and NGOs to guide food businesses to label their products. A total of 200,000 food businesses were guided, and held a total of 13 regulatory seminars.

In response to international trends, requirements of industry, and eating habits of citizens, as of 2021 an accumulated 7,500 pesticides residue limits, 1,522 veterinary drugs residue limits, 17 food sanitation standards, and 794 items of the scope of use, limits and specifications of food additives standards had been amended.
2. The Registration of Food Businesses
As end of 2021, approximately 596,000 food businesses have registered as shown in Figure 7-1.
