5. Building an excellent epidemic prevention system and consolidating national epidemic prevention security.
(1) Providing excellent and convenient preventive vaccine services, establishing a flexible vaccine procurement emergency response mechanism.
(2) Refining communicable disease monitoring, warning and risk assessment skills and raising the level of antibiotic drug resistance and infection control management effectiveness.
(3) Implementing diverse prevention and innovative strategy, reducing the TB occurrence rate and HIV infectiousness.
(4) Optimizing the smart quarantine system, increasing border quarantine capacity, expanding international joint prevention.
6. Constructing a safe environment for food and drugs, protecting the health and safety of the general public
(1) Optimizing the food production and sales network, drugs, medical equipment and cosmetics whole-life cycle management.
(2) Enhancing international adjustment of regulations, completing the tracking system.
(3) Refining the Chinese medicine (materials) quality management system, increasing Chinese medicine industry capacity.
(4) Raising the level of research and development capability, promoting the development of the biomedical industry.
7. Constructing a healthy and supportive environment to facilitate holistic health
(1) Nurturing healthy lifestyles by creating a smoke and betel-nut free supportive environment.
(2) Building a supportive environment for women's/children's health and fertility care; bolstering healthcare in key stages of life.
(3) Building an aged friendly and dementia friendly environment, bolstering the prevention and management of chronic diseases and cancer.
(4) Promoting health information integrated services, developing personalized health information management services.
(5) Promoting national mental health; optimizing mental illness prevention and addiction treatment.
(6) Promoting oral health services for children; building oral medical care health capacity for specific needs groups.
8. Accomplishing National Health Insurance and National Pension Insurance systems and strengthening social insurance systems
(1) Strengthening the financial status of the National Health Insurance system and refining payment benefits and resources configuration.
(2) Utilizing smart cloud technologies to innovate National Health Insurance services.
(3) Improving the National Pension System ; enhancing payment and coverage conditions fairer and more reasonable.
▏Section 2 Policies for Gender Equality
To promote gender equality and respect for diversity, echo the importance attached to gender equality issues internationally and in line with the direction of Taiwan's gender equality policy, when formulating policies and measures, the viewpoint of gender equality and gender mainstreamization are included to implement the spirit of the Gender Equality Policy Guidelines and Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW); and we continue to enhance gender equality in terms of health, medical care and social welfare to build a gender equal and happy friendly social environment.
The Executive Yuan announced amendments to the Gender Equality Policy Guidelines on May 19, 2021. In line with the amendments, this Ministry drew up the Ministry of Health and
