In light of the government's stronger push to increase public awareness of domestic violence and promote primary prevention at the community level by strengthening the reporting network and support measures, the number of reported cases
of victims in domestic violence increased from 94,000 in 2011 to 119,000 in 2021. In terms of victims per 100,000 population, there were 505 reported victims in 2021, consisting of 364 male victims and 643 female victims respectively. Female victims outnumbered male counterparts by a factor of 1.8 (Figure 2-12).
