 Of the five gauges in the survey, (1) respondents reported the highest satisfaction rate of 97.1% with the LCMCs, and integrated community service centers (A units), (2) satisfaction with case management and use of long-term care services was 93.7%, (3) satisfaction with reduction of overall burden of family caregivers was 97.6% (4) respite care services was rated by 97.4% of the respondents as a more helpful long-term care services than others, and (5) recommendation of relatives or friends was the main source (46.4%) of acquiring long-term care information.
The comparison of the satisfaction survey between year 2020 and 2021 are as follow:
Compared to the survey results in 2020, in 2021, the interviewees' satisfaction rates for long- term care's reduction of the overall burden of family caregivers increased the most. Compared to 90.5% in 2020, which increased by 7.1%, with satisfaction rate of 97.6%. The most helpful item was "respite care service".
To meet the public's need for long-term care services and achieve the goal of aging in place, since Long-Term Care 2.0 was launched, there has been a big increase in service resources and personnel. In the future, the MOHW will continue to put emphasis on setting up residential institutions as well as expanding home-based and community-based long-term care resources and strengthening long-term care manpower. The following important mission of Long-Term Care 2.0 is to enhance the guidance and management capability of municipal government, improve mechanisms required under the Long-Term Care Services Act and establish open information about service quality to ensure the service quality of various long-term care service resources and continuing improvement; thus, to provide people long-term care services that are accessible, affordable, and premium in quality.
