mid- and long-term shelter and replacement programs, serving 116 families with a total of 229 people (including 116 victims and 113 accompanying children). Moreover, group counseling, parent-child activities, childcare service, legal consultations, psychological counseling, financial assistance, companionship services, schooling counseling for children and resource integration etc. were provided to more than 10,700 people.
2. The domestic violence office near court: The local government entrusted the civil society to set up 19 domestic violence service offices near the court, providing legal services, for victims, accompanying court appearances, shelter services, providing legal services, accompanying court appearances and shelter services to the victims, and the subsidies reached NTD 6.37 million in 2021, serving more than 120,000 persons.
3. Counseling and treatment program for children and juvenile witnessing the family violence: Assist the local government to develop a program for children and juvenile witnessing the family violence in conjunction with professional groups. In 2021, the program subsidized 11 cases, totaling NTD 12,117,479 and serving more than 20,000 persons.
4. Service plan for domestic violence victims of local tribes: Subsidized local governments or NGOs in partnership to handle the services for domestic violence victims of indigenous areas. In 2021, 7 cases were subsidized, totaling NTD 26,158,214 and serving more than 110,000 people.
6. One-stop Service for Domestic Violence Program: The program assists local governments and NGOs in partnership in developing victim-centered one-stop services. In 2021, we subsidized a sum of over NTD 53.76 million for 18 programs to provide protection and assistance for over 90,000 victims, guidance for over 27,000 child and youth witnesses and employment service for over 9,984 victims.
ā–¸Section 3 Intervention for Domestic Violence Offenders
1. Supervising local governments in implementing treatment programs: In 2021, a total of 5,414 persons required treatment; treatment was completed for 1,948 persons, treatment was in progress for 2,419 persons, treatment was not implemented for 1,047 persons, out of which 780 were referred for judicial ruling because of breach of the protection order.
2. In 2021, the MOHW subsidized 242 mental health social workers and 37 supervisors for local governments in order to strengthen the Social Safety Net. The Protective Services and Psychiatric Care of multiple issues against psychotic disorders and suicide prevention in cases involving children and youth protection, domestic violence, sexual assault since case activated, and cases with bipolar disorder who have left correctional institutions or ended custody and protection. Mental health social workers were assigned to perform periodic assessment of violence risk, suicide risk, psychotic condition, family functions, and multiple needs; and provide integrated services for the cases and their families. As of the end of 2021, the county and city governments have recruited 239 mental health social workers and supervisors, with an employment rate of 85.66%. 5,268 people in multiple issues were currently on file, and 4,495 mental health social workers were assigned to serve with a service coverage rate of 85.33%.
5. Domestic
immigrants: Subsidized local governments or NGOs in partnership to handle the services for domestic violence protection programs for new immigrants. In 2021, 3 cases were subsidized, totaling NTD 3,233,550 and serving more than 20,000 people. Local governments also received counseling on using the new immigrant development fund to set up personal protection programs for new immigrants. A total of NTD 10,820,237 in subsidies were provided to 10 programs.
