2. To monitor and analyze drug resistant microorganisms to enhance prevention measures, as of the end of 2021, 180 hospitals had joined the Taiwan hospital Infection Control and Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance and Management system. Also, the MOHW established a surveillance plan for antimicrobial resistance to collect the strains of key pathogens as listed by the WHO to monitor their antibiotic resistance and key genetic changes. The World Hand Hygiene Day and World Antibiotic Week activities were also held.

1. The field inspections of 130 long-term care facilities were accomplished, including 9 veteran homes, 91 postpartum nursing care institutions, and 30 residential psychiatric rehabilitation centers, to reinforce infection control measures and audit mechanisms.
